Exhibition at Bolton Museum

The exhibition based on archery through the ages was officially opened by The Lord Mayor of Bolton, at Bolton Museum and Art Gallery, on Friday 23rd July 1999. The exhibition has been organised as a joint effort between The Bowmen of Overdale, Bolton Museum and the Simon Archery Foundation Manchester University. The exhibition shows the development of bows and associated equipment throughout the ages, and has a strong content based on the history of the Bowmen of Overdale, showing the achievements of past and present members. The 50th anniversary of the club which is being celebrated this year is also prominently displayed. Our thanks goto Mr David Cole for all his efforts in making this exhibition the success that I am sure it will be. If you get the chance to visit the exhibition please do go as I am sure you will not be disappointed. The exhibition will be on display until 09/10/1999. The club is organising a celebration shoot on the 7th August 1999, there will be a gathering of past and present members. Afterwards there will be a celebration tea
